The kitchen

We've always gathered in the kitchen.  At the old house, at the new house. It always seems that everyone ends up in the kitchen laughing, crying, running, chasing or playing cards.  This week Addi had big plans to make cookies all. By. Herself.  No help from mom.  She pulled out a few cookbooks from the pantry and found a relic of a cookbook from Grandma Hawkins. The sugar cookie recipe called for powdered sugar sifted instead of real sugar.  And by goodness, she pulled the whole recipe off by herself.  I helped with the final roll out because we didn't have time to actually chill the sticky dough but otherwise the girl got it done! 

Kenedi enjoyed the frosting the most!

She laughed so hard she had tears running down her face!  She thought her outfit was just hilarious!
