Kenedi at {almost} 12 weeks
3 more days to 12 weeks. Time has flown by. I feel like I have known this little gal all my life. Funny how your heart just makes room for more love.

Why do our voices always sound better to us?
Than to everyone else? I thought I was the only one that thought I sounded EXACTLY like the singers on the radio. And then yesterday, after Adele came on the radio, Will says to me (he didn't eat a crayon yesterday) 'I feel like when I sing, that I sound exactly like the singers on the radio'. Yes you do buddy!
Odd things that Will does
Lately, when I pick Will up from school, he has been using hand gestures to let me know that he can't talk. The first time this happened I had no idea what was going on and so he wrote me a note:
Apparently he swallowed a crayon which was lodged in his throat. (not really though...I checked) After a very quiet trip home in the car and subsequent note writing, his talking powers miraculously came back! (see note above: line 3!) What joy. Now that we could carry on a conversation I asked him why he swallowed crayons and he told me that it was because it allowed him to be quiet and study. So now, he is swallowing crayons almost everyday. Only these aren't really crayons, they are teeny, tiny crayon shavings that I'm not sure that he is even swallowing. But it works! Whatever it takes right!

Beach Trip {October 2011}
Daniel came to visit one last time before heading back to the 'home land' and come to find out, he still hadn't seen the Oregon Coast or the Cascada Mountains. So I was hell bent on getting him to at least one of them! We took a quick (the fastest beach trip ever) Cannon Beach. It was cold, drizzly, and windy but damn it...we made it to the beach.
At first Will thought a bit like this about the situation:
And Addi forgot to comb her hair!
And Addi forgot to comb her hair!
But then there's just something about the beach and waves and water and sand and the potential for a mess that will live forever in the car seats....that just get's kids going. Pretty soon, the kids looked like this:
We have this picture of Will jumping over waves on every beac trip.
I love the big, happy smiles that getting your toes wet brings to kids faces.
Photo editing made most of these pictures look bright and happy but really, it was gray and gloom that day at the beach.

9 weeks old.
Nine weeks ago this little lady came into our lives and we love her so much! (That's her at 3 or 4 days old!).
These days she is sleeping less and awake more. Not much...but we get 30 minutes or so in between naps and feeding. She loves to be held by mom and in eye sight of me all of the time. For the most part I love it. I could sit and cuddle all day long with this gal. She loves the binky, is smiling lots, and sleeps thru the night.
She doesn't particularly like car rides where she can't see me, fast tummies (who does) and being cold.
She is drawn to Will and his voice. I'm not sure how to capture in words just how cute this is. He adores her and she coos at him. He calms her and she smiles. She brings a little bit of slowness to Will that is different from his go, go, go personality. We catch him whispering into her ear while snuggling on the couch together. He tells her about GI Joe and sings to her in Spanish. It is so sweet. I'm thankful for big brothers.

{Halloween 2011}
This was the trick or treating crew this year. Chewbacca, a witch, a pirate, Boba Fett, and Cinderalla. What a cast of characters Oh....and how could I forget about Kenedi who was a ballerina?!
Cinderella was charming in blue and looking as beautiful as ever.
Boba Fett apparently doesn't talk or show emotion so most of the night was spent mask-less and slightly out of character.
Ballerinas look cute even at 2 months old! We stayed inside most of the night greeting trick or treaters and passing out candy.
Aunt Lyndsey was there too...she wasn't dressed up! But had lots of silly faces instead.
Here's the gang as they were headed out the door down the sidewalk. I love the difference of Chewbacca and Cinderalla.
Eva & Krista also joined us for trick or treating again this year.
A few more pictures to remember Halloween 2011
