Bridgit Mendler & the Fair

Or maybe it should read....Addi's dream day.

Addi is in love with Disney star Bridget Mendler.  She is on Good Luck Charlie which is also her favorite show.  For her birthday, Aunt Anne gave her tickets to see Bridget play at the Oregon State Fair.  It was the perfect night and man was she happy!

Will came along.  And even though he says he didn't like it...I think he loved.  Eventually Kenedi and Rob made there way to the concert.  Kenedi must have lost her binkie a dozen time in the stands!

Before the concert we played at the fair.  It was really a ton of fun.  The kids each did two rides.  Addi chose the swings and Will did the flying one.  We also saw the animals and of course had fair food!  You can't leave the fair without an elephant ear can you?!

Kenedi. 2 year old

Time moves fast!  Kenedi came running into TWO years just like she does with everything else...full steam ahead!

At two this little gal is such a happy spot in our life.  Just looking at that picture above, taken almost two months ago, I can already see that she's grown up.  We celebrated simply this year.  With family and close friends.  Not a lot of gifts, and just a simple cake.  Kenedi is most happy to have our little family around.  She gets so sad when any of us leave, especially me.

Mt cake attempt failed miserably, but I've come to realize that all people really want to do is eat the cake!  And her cake had a 7 candle on it.  We bought it for Addi, forgot to use it, and were out of candles for Kenedi.  So 7 it was!

This is one of my favorite pictures of the day!  Kenedi as turned Will and Addi into great big siblings.  They are so kind, gentle, and caring for her.

At TWO kenedi was still in her crib (she's moved out since), loves to sing songs, read books to her self and watch Barney.  She still takes a bottle (of almond milk) and sucks on her binkie.  Someday we'll give those up but I'm not sure it will be anytime soon.  She LOVEs to try to keep up with the big kids and gets the biggest kick out of doing what they do. She says adorable things like 'I wuv you' and 'shif' instead of fish.  She loves playing on the slide and climbing up and down the ladder by herself.  She is the perfect ending to our family.

She LOVED learning Happy Bithday to you this year.  And with Addi's birthday so close to hers, we had lots of practice.  We had the perfect style where everyone sang the main words to the song and kenedi added the 'cha-cha-cha' part in between phrases.  She loved it.

Here's her stats at TWO:
28lb 11 oz.
2'11"
She's TALL and thinning out.  Growing up so fast!

Running....

Lots of running at this house these days.  Last weeks the kids finished their second jog-a-thon for school.  Will came in with 27 laps and Addi had 18.   Will was EXHAUSTED when I picked him up.  So tired.  And his legs ached for the rest of the weekend.  He was trying to outpace the fastest girl in his class and ended up tiring out around lap 12.  He stretched, and got right back at it.  Addi took the slow and steady approach.  18 seems pretty darn good for that.

And I finished the wettest half marathon ever back in September with Erin.  It was the most beautiful course along the Banks-Vernonia trail.  There was an awesome tree canopy and gorgeous scenery.  But it was so WET!  6 inches that weekend and it felt like 5 came down in the 2 hours that we ran.  At the end, I must have squeezed a cup of water from my socks.
