For Father's Day...

We went on a hike. We left the house with good intentions... Multnomah Falls-to the bridge and back. And then we got to the bridge and decided to just keep going...all the way to the TOP! Yes...for Father's Day Rob got to carry Addison 1 1/2 miles up a hill to the top of the water fall. We had a great time and some great photos to prove it!

We parked about 1/2 mile away at Wahkeens Falls.  That's Will looking like he's never seen a forest before!

Addi before she quit walking...

One of the few pictures of me and the kids with the Falls in the background.

Starting our descent up.  Will was impressed with that garbage can because secured close for bears.
Rob wondering if we should really do it... (just kidding honey : ) )

See...they look HAPPY!  But really...Will was a total trooper.  He counted the hatchbacks (there's 11 of them and half of them are like double hatchbacks really) and practiced his math along the way.  Zero complaints on the way up.  We were amazed!
This was a tree that you could climb through the roots.

Right at the top, at hatchback 11 after you've been hiking UP for over a mile, the trail goes down.  Deceiving because you forget that you'll have to go back UP again to get out.  The trail also forks and we headed left, over to the stream where the waterfall starts and the kids hung out on the rocks.
At the top.  SOOOOO high up!

Happy Father's Day Rob!!!
