14 things i love today

1.  In the car Addi will say "Good Luck there was no police man mommy!" whenever I go through a yellow light.  She thinks yellow lights are red lights and warranted a trip to jail.  I like how she gets 'thank goodness' confuse with 'good luck'

2.  How Addi is singing in her bed right now when she should be asleep

3.  coffee this morning at Starbucks with just rob.  It was 20 minutes of adult talking and it was wonderful.  It was a Valentine's Day treat for both of us!

4.  Will sitting in the back of the van in his car seat and reading by the last light of day.  Then, as quickly as he's reading he pops his head up and says 'I'm going to be car sick!'  Once, just once, he got car sick.  Actually maybe it has happened twice.  Anyhow, each time it does, his back gets out.  So know, when he thinks he's going to get car sick, we ask him if his back is hot.  If not, he just needs air.  If the back is hot, we have to pull over FAST.

5.  The bachelor. really.  another season.  This should not make a list of things I love but it's on right now and it makes me angry when it goes to commercial. It's about the only thing I'm willing to stay up past 9pm for!

7.  My husband and how much he does for our family.

8.  My family.  Cool gang that would drop anything for us.

9.  Little kids that sneak into bed in the middle of the night and snuggle up just close enough that you know that they are there.  Last night it was Addi and we shared a pillow and we snuggled just close enough, not too close that she pushed me off the bed!  And they always sleep more peacefully next to us.  Nothing wakes them up!  Not the shower, not the toilet flushing, nothing.  She slept in an HOUR longer than usual and even then she had to be woken up!

10.  Valentine's day chocolates.  Especially the peanut butter filled kind.

11. A Spring break trip to someplace SUNNY.  At least it better be SUNNY.

12. Our babysitter Katie, who knows when to tell me the perfect things about my kids and always reminds me that we are raising good kids.  Katie is great and we are SO LUCKY to have her in our lives!

13.  Days to get caught up!  You know the days when no one asks you any questions and you tick things off your to-do lists quickly and efficiently.  These days are usually just me, at home, with a computer, and no kids (my own or students!)

14.   Spring time headed our way!  Flowers are pushing up and the camelia bush is just about in bloom.

15 (because #5 did not count!) The orthodontist telling me that my braces are most likely coming off next month (99% sure) Woo-Hoo.  No more metal mouth!

Happy Valentine's Day!
