rob and i go back and forth about the actual reason for weekends. i think it is an opportunity to get caught up on all of the activities that didn't get done during the week. he thinks that weekends are best used in total relaxation in front of a game, playing cars with the kids. this weekend we had more things on our agenda than hours on the clock. running, walking with friends, dinner, more dinners, shopping, yard work, painting, laundry, play, swimming, the list goes on. and then, before you know it, the weekend is over and everything starts all over. every night when we walk down the hallway to bed Will asks "is tomorrow a school day or a pancake day?" monday thru fridays fall into the school day; early wake up times, frozen french toast sticks and backpacks. pancake days are special though. if it is a pancake day it means its the weekend and he gets to sleep in, watch a few cartoons, play all day with his dad, and enjoy the company of his favorite friends. oh, and we always make homemade pancakes on the weekends; straight down to the griddle. will stirs the ingredients and even pours the batter onto the griddle. he prefers mickey mouse pancakes (although he has no idea who mickey mouse is) and lots and lots of butter and syrup. this weekend we added waffle day as well, signaling that swimming lessons would take place later that day. too cute.

this picture is of will and rob reading a new book about the planets. will is totally into space and the moon. this particular book covers all of the planets and then at the end we got to make a mobile to hang from his ceiling. so exciting.

and this is addison trying to put her fuzzy coat on. she likes to nuzzle her neck into anything soft and this coat does just the trick. don't let the sweet look trick, she was just very angry at her rocking cow which was not behaving to her standards.
