Hope
Love it or hate, we got a new president today. my family shares different views on politics and since some of them read, i'll leave my own (very democratic) views out of it. but regardless of what side of the fence you sit on, i can't help but think that everyone can see the glimmer of hope that our country is carrying. hope that things will get better economically, financially, within our schools and our communities. hope. that times will get better and the weight can be lifted off of people's shoulders. hope is a powerful thing. heck, i almost named our daughter for it and made it her middle name for a reason. Our little family knows all to well what hope can do to keep our heads and hearts believing that the best is possible. hope can motivate us to do great things. to believe in the power of good and that the best case is out there. i hope that this president inspires and moves this generation to have hope in the system and to believe that we are still a country of dreamers and great people with great ideas that can do great things. i have never felt particularly patriotic but today ... well, we need a new flag rob!
