Backyard playing.

It’s been hot here in Oregon. Last week we had record highs in the 109’s.  Whew!  Thank goodness for air conditioning.   A few of those days, we didn’t even venture outside until after 7pm when the backyard was finally shady and there was some relief from the light breeze.  On one of these evenings Will decided he wanted to make a water slide out of the play structure.  He loves to play with the hose and the water.  To date, his favorite game is Damn It which involves making damns to stop the water running off the plants being watered.  He runs around the yard gathering supplies yelling “Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!”  Ahhh the innocence of youth!

On this particular evening he rigged the hose up and around so that just enough water could flow down the slide to make things fun.  And away he went!  So much fun to be had, we laughed and got really muddy.

Do you remember drinking from the hose when you were a kid.  It's always so COLD!  a likely covered in horrible bacteria...but hey-I don't know anyone that's died from it!

This was pretty much Addison's take on the whole water slide thing.  Will wanted her to try it out SO badly.  She was not so keen on that. 

Will talked her into sitting...Then getting all set up...And then she talked him into going down with her...Only he tricked her and stayed at the top.  And she went down.  And this is how happy she was about it!
