Daniel, our visiting UK coach

2 weeks ago we made a last minute decision to host a UK soccer coach visiting Portland for a soccer camp that Will was going to.  It was one of the best decisions of the summer!  Daniel joined our family on Sunday night when Rob went to the grade school and picked him up.  Kind up a strange experience to grab a total stranger from a parking lot but we totally lucked out!  Daniel was fun, easy to get along with and was like another member of our family.  While he was hear he went on a police ride along, saw a few crime scenes, visited the Nike campus, the adidas campus, went to our block party, coached little kids soccer camp, had his first root beer float, ate lots of bagels (our main breakfast food) and played at Addi's birthday party.  Rob also took him to IHOP for breakfast and my sister took him out for a night on the town.  So much fun!  While he was here, the kids bunked upstairs in our room.  Daniel stayed in Will's room and so he had to stay up with us and Addi felt left out downstairs all alone.  So there we all were, camped out upstairs on mats and our king bed.  It was a giant sleepover.
