Beach Trip {October 2011}

Daniel came to visit one last time before heading back to the 'home land' and come to find out, he still hadn't seen the Oregon Coast or the Cascada Mountains.  So I was hell bent on getting him to at least one of them!  We took a quick (the fastest beach trip ever) Cannon Beach.  It was cold, drizzly, and windy but damn it...we made it to the beach.  

At first Will thought a bit like this about the situation:

 And Addi forgot to comb her hair!

But then there's just something about the beach and waves and water and sand and the potential for a mess that will live forever in the car seats....that just get's kids going.  Pretty soon, the kids looked like this:

 We have this picture of Will jumping over waves on every beac trip.

I love the big, happy smiles that getting your toes wet brings to kids faces.  

 

 Photo editing made most of these pictures look bright and happy but really, it was gray and gloom that day at the beach.
