I'm rarely at a loss for pictures on birthdays. I love 'em too much. I get all nostalgic in the mornings when it's quite remembering that moment in the hospital when each of my kiddos popped out. Such a weird experience to have kids...literally...to have them. But birthdays are special to me because it's the day that they joined out family. Each one a little different and oh so special (and not so special at times!)
As with all birthdays, we woke Addi up singing our very own family edition of Happy Birthday. She was surprisingly the last one up behind Will which never happens. She's in her undies because it was HOT that day!
Then we moved out to the living room to open presents. Daddy always gets Addi a new dress for her birthday and this year's was gorgeous. When Rob picked it up and showed it to me at the store i thought, not my style but Addi will LOVE it. And boy did she! She looked beautiful in it. We got her some new books with CDs so we can listen along in the car and some hair do-das. We also got a pair of Stompeezs slippers that the kids ooh and aah over on TV. Of course Addi weighs barely 40 lbs and can't get the ears to stomp up! Oh well.
After presents we went to Krispy Kreme at the birthday girl's request. Nothing like donuts to start your day off with a bang! Addi also had Dino camp with her best bud Nic and she was super thrilled that they snag to her and made her feel extra special.
For dinner, Addi chose Benihana's. She loves the onion volcano and the 'show' that goes into dinner. We went last year for her birthday too. I tried to capture all of the fun pictures in the collage below. That middle row is Addi's face as they are singing to her. Then we had ice cream cake back at the house and opened MORE presents. This gal is spoiled rotten! She loved the purses and the clothes and all of the fun make up and candy. She had a great night!
And here's the picture from Benihana's. That about sums up the Hawkins side of the family!
