I Love Summer!

On Wednesday we peeled corn like it was nobody's business in the back yard in record heat (it's been HOT in PDX!)And then had a lovely dinner with my dear friend Julie who has an accent that the kids love and who brought banana pudding surprise which we ALL loved! So fun to have the time to just hang out and relax on the back porch with friends.

On Thursday, we suprised the kids (especially Will) by having this ready for them when they got home from daycare

250 water balloons takes almost an hour and a half to fill up and tie and just 15 minutes to burst in the backyard! Will was so excited to see this pile of balloons. He has been asking for water balloons since the sun peeked out a few weeks ago. Here he is before seeing the balloons...

And here he is after...
After the very quick water balloon fight we set up a game for the kids that involved carrying water in various object, filling a bucket, and being sprayed continuosly by the hose. It looked something like this

And tonight, I made this yummy taco pizza that was to DIE for. So easy, quick, and delicious. The only thing missing was fresh tomatoes but those somehow went missing.

And surprisingly ever single person in this house enjoyed it!
And the most popular activity of the evening was this. Will made marshmallow creations with toothpicks and marshmallows and his smart little mind. This was a bridge that later got a second level for cars and a support system that I couldn't dream up.
And then finally we took baths the first time in 5 days unless you count swim lessons and the backyard pool which i do...

And then finished with painted nails. SO fun!
